Fenway Area Official Destination for Art and Culture

The Massachusetts Cultural Council announces the Fenway area in Boston as one of the first state-designated cultural districts.

The Fenway Cultural District, which surrounds the Avenue of the Arts, is home to a number of colleges and cultural organizations, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and New England Conservatory.
 
This distinction raises the visibility of and support for this vibrant cultural area.
