BUY ART. FOSTER CREATIVITY.

2013 MassArt Auction
Saturday, April 13, 2013

Preview Auction Artwork and Bid Online at www.MassArtAuction.org

Each spring, the MassArt Auction draws a crowd of over 700 collectors and art enthusiasts seeking to view and purchase exceptional contemporary art in a festive environment.

Over 300 works of art will be included in a live and silent auction in the Bakalar & Paine Galleries, two contiguous spaces that are home to various cutting-edge, museum-quality exhibitions at MassArt throughout the year. Serious connoisseurs will be focused on the 38 pieces offered in the live auction but the opportunity to wander through unexplored territory – ceramics, glass, jewelry, paintings, photography, sculpture, and works on paper - continues throughout the evening in the silent auction.

The MassArt Auction is one of Boston's rites of spring, and 2013 promises to be the best yet, showcasing artists both established and new.  Among the nationally and internationally known artists, emerging artists, MassArt alumni, faculty, and students represented in this year's auction are:

Gerry Bergstein, Nicole Chesney '97, George Condo, Bean Finneran, Robert Freeman, Alex Katz, Sol LeWitt, Steve Locke '97, Ryan McGinness, Abe Morell, Kelly Sherman '02, Sarah Sze, William Wegman '65, and Rachel Perry Welty.

Whether you are a passionate and seasoned connoisseur or a new collector, the auction has something for every taste and budget, and we're certain you'll find something wonderful to take home.
